We regard ourselves as leaders and not followers in the property market.
In November 2005, we moved into our own building which we called Fenwick House. The building accommodates both Dalena Properties and Gravett Schoeman Van Rensburg & Moodley (GSVM) Attorneys. We celebrated this milestone in style and invited over 600 of our clients for an evening of fun, laughter, eats and drinks.
Dalena Properties survived the economic down turn that started in 2008. The fact that we had invested in properties for many years gave us the financial resources to subsidize Dalena Properties through the difficult times. During this time, we invested into new systems and focused on growing our rental book. We are now stronger and wiser as before.
We attribute the success of Dalena Properties to the informal but highly professional way in which we do business as well as our property knowledge over 200 years joint property experience of the Gonubie market; our creative thinking and our focus on 24/7 customer service.
Dalena Properties provide employment to 8 estate agents, 5 rental / admin support staff, 2 professional valuers, 1 driver / handyman and 1 painter. Other businesses such as attorneys, electrical contractors, fumigation companies, plumbers, cleaning companies, garden services, security companies and handymen are dependent on the work generated by Dalena Properties.
We have achieved the following:
- A market share of 80%
- Sell an average of 20 houses per month
- Monthly sales in excess of R20m
- A rental book of over 500 properties.
Dalena Properties has a close association with the Johnson-family (MG Construction) of Gonubie, which dates back to 1997. We have already successfully marketed and sold 12 of their developments comprising over 300 units!
In November 2015, we will be celebrating Dalena Properties’ 20-year anniversary as well as 10 years in our own building and we intend doing this in style with a party together with everybody who has supported Dalena Properties over the years.
